Site description
The eco sustainable project of Villa Fastiggi neighbourhood is characterized by the protection of the natural environment (considering the intervention sustainability in relation to space and time), by the rational use of resources and by the offered potentials of the site, according to the objectives of health, energy and environmental resources savings.
The general objectives of the project are:
- Reorganization of the suburban territory of Villa Fastiggi east, through the project area integration with the rural green in the east and north side, and with the urban area and the fluvial park area in the north-east side, by realizing a system of courses and valorising the visual and perceptive aspects of the landscape;
- Creation of a green system with cycle-walk ways that will function as urban park for Villa Fastiggi, respecting and valorising the existing landscape and botanical elements;
- Renewal and renovation of the present handicraft industrial and commercial areas located in the south side of intervention, in order to create a new commercial zone for the quarter;
- Realisation of a building system that guarantees a correct internal exposition and distribution of rooms in relation to air and sun.
